Bárbara Gomes Ribeiro

Belo Horizonte - MG, Brazil

I am a Computer Science undergraduate student at UFMG and currently a research assistant at the System Performance Evaluation and Experimental Development Lab. My interests lay particularly in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Social Good.

I was previously a research intern in the Machine Teaching Group at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, where I worked mostly on Curriculum Learning for Reinforcement Learning. I have also developed a research project analysing the "Sleeping Giants" online activist movement and took part in the Covid Data Analytics project, both at UFMG.

Misc: My passions include traveling (pictures you see here were taken in Stubai, Austria), learning about languages and culture and photographing. I also enjoy outdoor activities in general and playing table tennis.
